Casteca Homes is a Southern Utah custom home builder and new construction contractor based in St. George, with a second studio in Cedar City. We design, permit, and build architectural homes for clients across Washington County, Iron County, and Kane County, including St. George, Washington, Hurricane, Ivins, Santa Clara, Cedar City, Kanab, Springdale, and Pine Valley.
Whether you are building a custom home on your own land, looking at a new construction home we have underway, or planning a major renovation, our team handles design, permitting, scheduling, and construction under one roof. One project lead, one timeline, one accountable builder, from the first walk on your lot to the day we hand over the keys.
(02), Design Concepts
The homes we design.
A look at the architectural concepts we design for Southern Utah, shaped by the land, the light, and the way you live. These show our style and range. They are not completed homes, since our first builds are just getting underway.
(03), In Progress
New homes underway.
New construction homes we have in design and underway across Southern Utah. Reserve early and shape the finishes before they are complete.
Why Casteca
New to the market, built to outwork it.
Casteca Homes started in 2026, and that is the point. A new builder with a Utah GC license, a modern design sense, and pricing set below the established names puts more of your budget into the house and a founder on the line for the result.
You talk to the builder, not a sales floor
Casteca is founder-led and hands-on. The person who walks your lot and prices your plan is the one accountable for the build, so nothing gets lost between a salesperson and a crew you never meet.
Pricing set below the established names
We researched the Southern Utah market and positioned our build cost at the low end of true custom, well under the long-time custom shops carrying a name-brand premium. You see a real line-item budget, not a teaser number that grows after you sign.
A modern eye, not a dated catalog
We design to how people live now, clean lines, real daylight, materials that age well, instead of repeating the same floor plan a builder has poured for twenty years.
Lean overhead, more in the house
No model-home village, no layered management, no decades of brand markup to carry. That cost discipline goes into your framing, finishes, and systems rather than into our overhead.
Credentials you can verify today
Licensed Utah general contractor 14205355-5501, fully insured and bonded, with a 2-year workmanship warranty on every home. New as a brand, fully accountable as a builder.
First clients, not client number five hundred
Building Casteca's reputation starts with your home, so it gets founder-level attention and weekly walkthroughs. We have every reason to make the early homes the ones we point to.
(04), Materials & Finishes
The palette we build from.
A restrained set of honest materials, chosen to weather, age, and belong on the Southern Utah landscape. We specify the same quality whether the home is 3,000 square feet or 8,000.
White Oak
Rift-sawn, hard-wax oilFloors, millwork, and ceilings in a warm, even grain. Finished with a natural oil that ages instead of yellowing.
Limestone
Honed, full-bed veneerCladding and hearths in a pale desert stone that holds the morning light and cools the house through the summer.
Blackened Steel
Hot-rolled, clear matte sealStair stringers, window surrounds, and structural reveals. Quiet, precise lines that frame the architecture without shouting.
Lime Plaster
Hand-troweled, integral pigmentInterior and exterior walls with depth a paint roller cannot reach. Breathable, durable, and made by hand on site.
Board-Form Concrete
Cast in rough-sawn pineFoundations, fireplaces, and feature walls that carry the grain of the timber they were poured against.
Heavy Timber
Douglas fir, exposed joineryBeams, posts, and ceilings for the mountain builds. Real structure left visible, joined to last generations.
(05), How We Build
Six steps.
One team.
From the first walk on your land to the day we hand over the keys, you work with one project lead and a local Southern Utah team. No subbed-out chaos, no finger-pointing.
Discovery
We sit down at our St. George or Cedar City studio, or on your land, and listen. How you live, what you have collected, the morning routines, the dinner parties. Architecture starts here, not at the drafting table.
Site and Schematic
We walk your lot at sunrise and sunset. We map the views, the wind, the winter sun angle, the easements. Then we draw, first by hand, then in 3D, until the plan feels inevitable.
Design Development
Materials, finishes, fixtures, and the thousand small decisions that make a house feel custom. You will have a single project lead from start to finish, no handoffs.
Permitting and Pre-Construction
We handle permitting through Washington, Iron, and Kane counties and coordinate the HOAs, the inspections, and the timing, so you do not have to.
Build
Our in-house team and trusted Southern Utah trades break ground. Weekly walkthroughs, transparent budgeting, and a project portal where you can track every line item in real time.
Keys and Beyond
We hand over the keys with a binder, a walkthrough, and a promise: a 2-year workmanship warranty and a builder who stays reachable after closing.
(06), Our Promise
What building with Casteca feels like.
We are a new company holding ourselves to a simple standard: the experience should be as considered as the architecture. Here is what we commit to on every build.
One accountable lead
You work with one project lead from the first walk on your land to the day we hand over the keys. No subbed-out chaos, no finger-pointing.
A budget you can read
A line-item budget you can see and question, with no surprise markups buried in the total. You always know what you are paying for.
Weekly walkthroughs
Regular on-site walkthroughs and a project portal, so you always know exactly where your home stands and what comes next.
Licensed and local
A licensed, insured, and bonded Utah general contractor building only in Southern Utah. We know the counties, the inspectors, and the land.
A 2-year warranty
Every Casteca home carries a 2-year workmanship warranty, and we stay reachable long after closing.
Architecture first
Each home is designed around your land, your light, and the way you actually live, never forced from a stock plan.
(07), Where We Build
Every corner of Southern Utah.
From the red rock of St. George to the alpine air of Brian Head, Casteca builds custom homes across Washington, Iron, and Kane counties.
